everyone jumped to the top when the emcee only announce 荣. lmao.
was really shocked & surprised, as 2 GWHs had already given away to CCHYS & PRSS.
+ we screwed 'can ge' (Song Of Cicada), but 'da di hui chun' (Return Of Spring) was fantastic.
don't intended to drop any tears. still dropped, out of sudden...
both CCHSs have achieve GWH on the 70th anniversary, that's a great record.

What did you guys think of cchmsco?
da di hui chun was pure ownage. Superb
I only watched the afternoon session though. Mr Ng Boon Chai was the only conductor I saw to memorize his scores, it shows the amount of effort he and his orchestra have put in.
Classy display by Ho Bing Hong, and to the entire cello section for the great counter-melody.

i didn't listen to the morning session
but i kept on hearing ppl saying RV vry good but only achieve gold
then as for pasir ris sec i just heard that their action super good
the comment i heard was they move like SIAO
okok, as for cchy i didn't heard much.
i think cchmsco was the best of day 1. both piece was better than the rest.
i was quite impressed by ACS too. pity they didn't get gwh.
rivervalley didn't perform to their expectation. chose wrong song maybe
Was quite surprised that the judges gave two GWH in the afternoon session. Only expected one GWH from each session. It was obvious that CCHY ousted RV if one had to choose between them. As for PRSS and CCHM, both had their own qualities in terms of musical style.
but theres a criteria under the points scoring which judge movements...
yeah but cchmsco and prssco had around the same amount of movements

i think cchmsco have the best yin se. their hu qin is one of the best of the first day, but prssco hu qin was good as well (their whole co was focused on hu qin thanks to their song)
觅 does not particularly focus on any section. Good pitching and tempo from lower strings, quick and precise technique from upper strings, intonation from winds, and good overall orchestration are required to achieve high marks. PRSS fulfilled these requirements, as well as CCHMS.
I thought CCHS Main choice piece was simply superb. Every part of the song had written GWH all over it. Not sure whether it was better than CCHS Yishun though, wasn't there for the morning one.
cchys was good, but i thought ACSB was on par with them with the choice piece(played the same song but different section piece). maybe they lost out on set piece.
but you are right cchms was better than them.
