firstly, i gotta introduce this before anything...
"everything before a BUT is a lie." - zaid bin mohammed ali
i shall declare the concert not-so-successful despite the previous two posts. hmm, everyone should be aware of that anyway. im not propaganda-ing... surprisingly i thought 阿佤山 is one of our best pieces of all during the concert when conductor expected it to be the worst. so can you imagine how screwed were the rest of the pieces...? argh this sounds rather discouraging. well... another line..
"blame it on Friday the 13th." - tay jing wen
BUT
i really think it's awesome for us to actually go for a concert with a damn late notice and prepare it within 2 months. (LOL at we still thought conductor was joking at first and bragging about his 'dream' again.) the most impressing thing is, we got the scores of 6 pieces only 1 week before the concert. thats so oh my god! :O furthermore, the singers came to rehearse with us only 5 hours before the concert, guestperformers and alumnis basically sight-read the whole thing. ain't we cool?
though the concert wasn't great, but at least we didn't make any major mistake right? (i mean there is one he made deliberately, but i shan't post here.) i believe we can make it very successfully if we were given sufficient time.
"failure is the motivation towards success." - ng dan ling
let's work towards next year's syf alright? it's not far away, 8 months to master two pieces is not really easy.
i shall end here for now, & i will be back!
