HELLLLOOO long time no post on CCHMSCO blog. I realised that its abit late to post about what im going to post(coz, im rather busy recently), but o well, better late than never...Firstly, I would like to thank all those who contributed in calling us alumnis back to cchmsco and help out in the camp. I understand that some of you has actually put through some hardwork in contacting many of the alumnus and proposing to mdm Ng for alumnus to stay over in cchmsco camp. Also, i would like to apologise for making it more troublesome for u juniors eg. me coming late and didnt help out much(because i've got work).
Secondly, i would like to tell u guys that the trouble that you all have gone through inviting us for co camp is not a waste of time (im not trying to say that you all find that its a waste of time, but it is, so that, in the future, u all will continue to request to all the teacher-in-charge, try as equally hard to get alumni to visit during co camp). The main purpose of co camp is basically for cchmsco members to bond, so that cchmsco will become a happier place to be in. With a happier place to be in, u all can produce even better quality of music. CCHMSCO is a small community, a circle, those people who breathes in small individual community (im refering to u all) have to make your community a better place, while people such as me who retired is actually still part of this community. Although us alumnis may not be able to contribute in taking part in performances and syf, however, we have the experience that u all may not have.
I feel that inviting alumnis to co camp, is a way to create bonds with us(because most of us only visits when there is co camp). The reason u need to create this bond is so that we can share what we've got, and not only that, many of alumnis are all willing to do stuffs for you all that u may not be able to do, eg.blog skin, quentin design such a wonderful blog skin, even though he doesnt have to. If u dont know, many of the alumnis such as, Kai Xiang, Shunta, Hui Rong, Jing Wen, Yi Qing, Jessica and many more, could be moving towards professional musician. If you think u need help in polishing your skills, u can initiate and ask them to teach u although they may charge u $ but i guess they will charge lesser for you guys.
Apart from that, us alumnis may be able help u all to advertise cchmsco and increase more intake of members from primary schools. Whenever you all have problems that cant be solved (such as borrowing instruments) you all can ask some of the alumnis and the chances of solving your big problems will be higher. It may sound like I'm trying to get you guys to make use of alumni, but actually, i'm trying to tell u that, even if someone becomes an alumni, as long as his or heart is still with cchmsco, him or her should always be part of cchmsco, and will be more than willing to help u guys in solving problems.
Thirdly, SYF is coming soon, and i wish all, all the best and hope that u all can make every single practice that u all had will be worthwhile and also, one word of advise, cherish your time together during practices and it will be a memorable event of your life that u will Never Ever forget.
